2024-2025 Season...

EYBA (Edmonton Youth Basketball Association) Tier 1 & Tier 2 Divisions:  Boys and girls teams for 13U (born in 2012-2013) and 15U (born in 2010-2011) ONLY

There will be tryout sessions to determine Tier 1 and Tier 2 division players AND the rest of the teams that will be put together.  These sessions will be held during the week of August 26th, then the following week.  The Tier 1 & Tier 2 EYBA Mini tournament is scheduled for Sept. 6th/7th (TBD).

Players MUST be registered prior to the tryouts.

Teams play in the EYBA's Tier 1 & Tier 2 divisions; boys games are on Tuesdays (to be determined pending changes at EYBA AGM in April); while girls games are on Wednesdays.  Games could also be played on some Thursday nights.

Coaches will take a minimum of 10 players with a maximum of 12-14. Teams practice 1.5-2 hours once per week, with possibility of additional practices.

Player commitment is a must!  The Tier 1 & Tier 2 division players are strongly recommended to those that have basketball listed as their #1 sport. There may be additional tournaments entered at the coaches' discretion with the chance to play in the provincial tournament in March.
Season runs from October to March (time off at Christmas).

**IMPORTANT information regarding Tier 1/2 Seeding divisions and pre-season tournament/jamboree to seed teams into Tier 1/2 divisions prior to season click HERE.  **Please be aware that Tier 1/2 teams out of SBA will be made at the team tryouts.*  If you do not attend tryouts, you will be slotted on a Tier 3 team or lower.**  ALL players will receive notification of below tryout and evaluation dates, via email later in the summer.

FEES = $TBD *(NOTE:  all prices listed below increase by $50.00 AFTER August 1st)

Jersey (no shorts) is purchased including a Jersey only (if a participant wishes they can purchase shorts from the SBA online store that opens in the Fall).  A uniform deposit cheque is NOT required as players keep these jerseys after the season is completed.  Tier 1 & Tier 2 Teams could likely have additional cost of team gear/equipment to be determined by the Coach(es).
Additional costs may be incurred should the team enter into other tournaments/camps/spring league.

**IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING AGE/DIVISION**

It is EYBA's policy that NO over-aged players are allowed in any division. Regardless of how close a player may be to a lower division, under any circumstances NO playing down is allowed (the only exemption would be a player with severe medical disabilities). However, players may MOVE UP to play with players older than them, but this has to be determined by SBA and division/team availability. Priority will be given to players that are within the exact age group of their registered team/division.

**ACCEPTABLE PAYMENTS = Credit Card (payment plan is an option).  If registering with funding from KidSport or JumpStart, the ID number will be required at time of registration.  Registrations are accepted online only.

Registration will be open until end of August unless SBA needs to cap its registration membership due to too many participants and/or not enough Coaches. In that case, some divisions may close sooner than others.
