SBA 2026-27 Season Registration Opening on June 8th

Registration for the 2026-27 season will open on June 8th (12am).
Pertinent information in regards to the upcoming season:
Divisions and age groups:
7U/Tykes - Born 2020-2021 (Cost $245.00)
NOTE: This division will be moving to Saturday practice/games only - one-hour slots.
9U Boys - B. 2018-2019 (Cost $430.00)
9U Girls - B. 2018-2019 (Cost $430.00)
NOTE: If there are not enough girls to form (4) teams, we will consider them playing against the boys’ teams, OR we may consider having 9Us as a co-ed division (boys and girls put onto teams together).
11U Boys - B. 2016-2017 (Cost $650.00)
11U Girls - B. 2016-2017 (Cost $650.00)
13U Boys - B. 2014-2015 (Cost $650.00)
13U Girls - B. 2014-2015 (Cost $650.00)
15U Boys - B. 2012-2013 (Cost $650.00)
15U Girls - B. 2012-2013 (Cost $650.00)
18U Boys - B. 2009, 2010, 2011 (Cost $370.00)

NOTE: No overaged players are eligible, unless there are physical and psychological delays that can be proven with a provided Doctor’s note.
For 18Us, 2008s are NOT eligible to play, even when turning 18 years of age in the latter part of the year of 2026.
KidSport/JumpStart funding:
You are to apply for funding anytime directly with KS or JS.
You are to complete the online registration and pay the initial payment as outlined when you register. Once you receive their confirmation, please email Darlene so she can cancel your next pending payment from your credit card.
Once funding has been received by SBA, your online RAMP profile will be updated to show the new balance owing on your account.
Evaluations for 11Us will be held on Saturday, August 29th at the EYBA Centre (7111 56 Avenue NW, Edmonton). Times to be announced in late July or early August.
Evaluations for 13U/15U will be held as follows (location: EYBA Centre)
13U Girls: Monday/Wednesday; Aug. 24th & 26th from 6:30-8pm
15U Girls: Monday/Wednesday; Aug. 24th & 26th from 8-9:30pm
13U Boys: Tuesday/Thursday; Aug. 25th & 27th from 6:30-8pm
15U Boys: Tuesday/Thursday; Aug. 25th & 27th from 8-9:30pm
NOTE: ALL participants registered in the above divisions are to attend the first night of the evaluations as detailed above. More details to follow.
NOTE: Teams will be determined for Tiers 1, 2, 3 and lower.
League game days will be as follows:
7U/Tykes Co-Ed: one-hour sessions will be on Saturdays only.
9U: one-hour weekly practice (to be determined by Coaches and with SBA’s gym availability). Game day is Saturdays only.
11U Girls / 11U Boys: 1-1.5 hour practices once during the week (to be determined by Coaches and with SBA’s gym availability). Game day is Saturdays only.
13U Girls & 15U Girls: 1.5-2 hour practices mainly once during the week (to be determined by Coaches and SBA’s gym availability). Game day for Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3 is Wednesday evenings (to be confirmed from EYBA). Game day for Tier 4 and lower is Saturdays.
13U Boys & 15U Boys: 1.5-2 hour practices mainly once during the week (to be determined by Coaches and SBA’s gym availability). Game day for Tier 1, Tier 2 & Tier 3 is Tuesday evenings (to be confirmed from EYBA). Game day for Tier 4 and lower is Saturdays.
18U Boys & 18U Girls: 1.5 hour practice times once during the week (to be determined by Coaches and SBA’s gym availability). Game day is Sundays (to be confirmed by EYBA).
EYBA will run four rounds of play: Pre-Season (4-6 games), Seeding (4-6 games), Main Round (4-6 games), Playoffs (1-4 games).
For 13U/15U only: A team that starts in Tier 4 and lower, could move up to the top tiers; which changes the game day from weekend to weekday. Vice Versa, teams that start in the top Tiered teams can end up moving from weekday to weekend games. Team movement is NOT negotiable and is completed at EYBA’s discretion.
NOTE: We are happy to announce that SBA registration fees do not increase next season; mainly due to a successful fundraiser that will be run again in the Fall of 2026. Participation is very much appreciated so that we can continue keep the fees the same as our costs increase.
NEW FOR THE 2026-27 SEASON: All 11U through 15U teams will be branded as SBA STEEL. Our new logo will be available to view online soon! Our online apparel store will have gear with the new logo available. The store will be open from the start to the end of the season.
